Cari amici,

il tempo della guerra si avvicina inesorabile, ma non bisogna lasciare intentato nulla per convincere il Consiglio di Sicurezza dell'ONU che questa guerra e' un colossale errore e che tanti cittadini del mondo non sono affatto convinti ne' della sua moralita' (rare sono le guerre per cui la si puo' invocare), ne' della sua utilita'.

Collegatevi al link di questa ONG statunitense http://www.moveon.org/emergency/ ed impiegate alcuni minuti per compilare il formulario, per favore. Chi vi invia questo messaggio ha pienamente sostenuto la guerra del 1991 contro Saddam, e' risolutamente contrario a questa dopo un'attenta analisi politica e strategica e ritiene che questa guerra sara' rovinosa anche per il legame transatlantico.

Non fatevi impressionare dai Realpolitiker da strapazzo ed opponete una testimonianza discreta, ma ferma.

Chers amis, Liebe Freunde, Cari amici, Dear friends,

celle qui semblait une pétition comme les autres, est devenue une des plus imposantes dans l'histoire, avec un essor jamais vu par les ONG: en moins de 48 heures 550.000 personnes (citoyens de tous les pays membres et non-membres de l'ONU) ont répondu à l'appel. SVP, il faut faire un autre effort pour arriver au chiffre de 750.000 signataires pour le 24,00 de ce vendredi 7 Mars (heure USA EST 18.00), parce que les signatures seront présentées lundi prochain, date à laquelle elles auront le maximum d'effet. Il ne faut pas oublier que ces signatures sont recueillies par des citoyens des EEUU, qui, comme nous les Européens, ont les mêmes doutes, qui doivent faire face à une rhétorique patriotarde plus forte que la notre et qui ont besoin de notre aide et de notre courage.

Pensez-y, trois quarts de million de personnes qui, dans la salle du Conseil de Sécurité, écrivent toutes non à cette guerre immorale, inutile et stupide. Les requins profiteurs de guerre vont sourire, mais les diplomates et les politiciens qui luttent vont comprendre que c'est n'est pas un sondage, c'est du soutien, du vrai. C'est un geste qu'on fait dans les heures sombres pour défendre sa propre dignité et liberté.

Quelqu'un vous dira qu'en tout cas la guerre éclatera, répondez-lui "Et nous serons encore là, dans l'après guerre pour des décennies, à rappeler, à juger, à voter".

man konnte denken dass auch diese Bittschrift wäre eine ganz übliche gewesen, doch sie ist eine der größten der Weltgeschichte und blitzschnellsten, die eine NGO erzeugt hat, geworden: in weniger als 48 Stunden 550.000 Menschen (Bürgerinnen und Bürger von aller UNO Mitgliederstaaten und Nicht-Mitgliedern) haben unterzeichnet. Jetzt müssen wir, Bitte, uns noch einmal anstrengen um die Zahl von 750.000 Unterschriften zu erreichen bei 24.00 Uhr (18.00 Uhr USA EST Zeit) Freitag 7 März. Die Haie und Kriegsgewinnler mögen lächeln, aber die Diplomaten und die Politiker, die um den Frieden ringen, werden verstehen dass diese nicht eine Meinungsumfrage ist, sondern eine konkrete Tat. quella che sembrava giusto un'altra petizione da firmare è diventata una delle più grandi della storia ed una delle più rapide mai viste nell'ambito ONG: 550.000 persone hanno risposto in meno di 48 ore da tutti i paesi membri e non membri dell'ONU. Dobbiamo fare, per favore, un altro sforzo per raggiungere entro venerdì 7 marzo alle 24.00 (ora USA EST 18.00) quota 750.000 da presentare lunedì prossimo quando potrà avere il maggiore effetto. Non dimentichiamo che queste firme sono raccolte da cittadini USA, che come noi europei, hanno gli stessi dubbi, che devono affrontare una retorica patriottarda più forte della nostra e che hanno bisogno del nostro aiuto e del nostro coraggio.

Pensate a quale effetto può fare la presenza di tre quarti di milione nell'aula del Consiglio di Sicurezza, tutti che scrivono no a questa guerra immorale, inutile e stupida. I pescecani di guerra potranno sorridere, ma i diplomatici ed i politici che stanno lottando sentiranno quel sostegno che non è un sondaggio, ma un gesto vero. Uno di quei gesti che si fanno nelle ore buie per difendere la propria dignità e libertà.

Qualcuno vi dirà che tanto la guerra scoppia, rispondetegli "Nel dopoguerra saremo ancora là per decenni a ricordare, a giudicare, a votare".

Just remember that these signatures are collected by US people, who like us Europeans, have the same doubts about this war, face a much stronger jingoistic rhetoric than us and need our help and courage.

Think about what can produce the presence of 750.000 people in the UN Security Council hall, all writing "no", to this unethical, useless and senseless war. Sharks may smile, but those diplomats and politicians that are fighting for peace will feel that this is not a poll, it is a serious act. Acts that one must do in dark times to defend one's own dignity and freedom.
